REGINA, Jan.16, 2018 – OneLeaf Cannabis Corp. (the “Company” or “OneLeaf”) is pleased to announce the Company’s plans to complete a state-of-the-art, 48,200 square foot cannabis production facility (“OneLeaf-Onyx”), located in the RM of Sherwood and City of Regina Joint Planning Area. Upon completion, this first phase of the Company’s planned development will produce approximately 4,100 kilograms of high-quality cannabis per year with an additional 16,000 kilograms coming online once all three of the planned production facilities are completed.

“This is a very exciting time for our Province”, stated Mike Templeton, Chief Operating Officer and Director of OneLeaf. “We have the opportunity to capitalize on our international reputation for quality agricultural production and innovation in the agricultural sector. We are looking forward to working with our Provincial and local governments, First Nations and local businesses to create a vibrant new industry in our Province and ensure that we all benefit from the economic opportunities.”

The multi-million dollar project brings together the industry’s top design and regulatory experts as well as established local engineering and contracting firms for the design and construction of the OneLeaf-Onyx purpose built facility which incorporates industry leading high-tech and environmental control systems to ensure a premium quality, pesticide free product.

“Every aspect of our custom-designed cultivation facility is being built with quality in mind”, commented Templeton. “Our laboratory-grade growing rooms will provide optimal cultivation conditions and allow us to grow premium product without the use of pesticides. This is especially important for medical patients.”
Completion of the OneLeaf-Onyx facility is anticipated in the early summer of 2018 with production anticipated shortly thereafter, pending OneLeaf’s completion of Health Canada’s licensing process. Once all phases are completed, the Company expects to create over 100 new jobs ranging from high-tech to labour.

“While our initial plans are to focus on serving the regional and domestic markets, the OneLeaf-Onyx facility is also being designed to meet the European Union’s stringent standards which will also allow us to pursue the fast developing export markets”, stated Templeton. “Our facility design, cultivation techniques and central location makes us a very attractive supplier for European based companies and we are gearing up to take advantage of these export opportunities.”
